TV | Some Jangwon moments from The Brainiacs and composer Jangwon (Ep 110 & 111 - KAIST special)

I was watching The Brainiacs KAIST special yesterday (Ep 110-111). There aren't English subtitles, sadly (I was watching with Chinese subs). But if you are able to watch it, and if you like The Brainiacs in general, I think it's a good episode to watch since they went to Jangwon's alma mater so there's little tidbits of information about Jangwon throughout the episodes, and he got more screentime than usual, which I like, lol.

Also, I laughed alot watching these 2 episodes. One of the parts in ep 110 that cracked me up was when Jangwon, Seokjin and Jiseok rode in the driver-less car (autonomous vehicle). It was too small for the 3 of them and the mess that follows is hilarious. You can watch the snippet below. Basically they were too tall for the seats and kept knocking into each other, and it's funny to see 81-line being a mess lol.

The other part that was memorable was in ep 111, when one of the guest, who was also the guitar ensemble chairperson (6 strings ensemble? 6 keys? I don't know what it's translated as exactly), performed with his club. Apparently this is the same club that Jangwon was a part of when he was in KAIST and the song they performed was originally written by Jangwon to be the club's anthem/song. I can't find a clip of it so I might have to trim it myself (I'll update it if I do, but it's from 36:37 here), but yeah. I rewinded to listen to it again while I was watching it. I realise that with Peppertones' songs, the credit always lists Peppertones, so I never really stopped to wonder which one of them composed  the songs, or which of them composed which songs. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to hear a song Jangwon composed while watching The Brainiacs, even though it's been slightly modified and was performed by his juniors.

On a related note about Jangwon and composing, I just found out today that Jangwon composed Netherlands. It was a song I've seen in videos on YouTube but I had always assumed was a cover. I only found out it's his composition from reading YouTube comments lol. If you've never heard Netherlands before, you can see the latest performance of it in this fanvid from the Circle concert:
